Critical Handling of Powders including weighting, sampling, measuring, filling and transferring

A free-standing console design with a confined work chamber that prevents airborne powder/dust from contaminating the plant or lab atmosphere, or cross-contaminating other products in the air, and protects operator and plant facility. In operation, air is drawn into the work chamber at an extremely low velocity, protecting the accuracy of highly sensitive scales or measuring devices. When the powder becomes air born, it passes through a two-stage containment filtering system. Initial filtering is accomplished with a high efficiency disposable collector that traps most air born particles. During the second stage the air passes through a HEPA filter (99.99% effective on .3 microns) before being exhausted.

Filter - Two-stage disposable filtration system. Dust collector: 95% efficiency on NBS tests. HEPA filter: 99.99% efficient on .3 microns: exhausts into room.

Airflow - Airflow velocity into work chamber can be adjusted as low as 20 fpm to 160 fpm via positioning of the face shield and/or solid state speed control.

Construction - Woodboard construction for minimum noise & vibration. White and blue plastic laminate finish. Two-piece adjustable clear acrylic sash. Casters for ease of mobility.

Electrical & Power Requirements - All electrical components are UL Approved. Standard 115V, 15 Amp, 1 Ph, 60 Hz. 15ft. SJO power cord w/ 3-prong ground plug. NEC

Motor/Blower Assembly - High efficiency motor to reduce electrical load. Motor thermally protected & self-lubricating. Fan statically balanced to maintain constant airflow.

Lighting - Recessed 2 pin fluorescent lighting. 125 ft. candle +/- 20 ft. candles. Plastic prismatic lens cover maximizes light diffusion.

Controls - Exterior duplex receptacle for electric scale.
Front remote adjustable solid state airflow control
Light switch.
